Shipment Acceptance and Restrictions

  1. We reserve the right to refuse any shipment for any reason. Shipment acceptance is subject to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  2. It is the shipper's responsibility to ensure that the contents of the shipment comply with all import and export laws, including any restrictions or prohibitions.

Shipping Pricing and Payments

  1. Shipping costs are determined based on various factors such as package weight, size, mode of transport, additional services, and any applicable taxes or customs duties.
  2. Quotes provided are estimates and may be subject to change based on the actual measurements and weight of the shipment.
  3. Payment must be made in full before the shipment is released for transport. We accept various payment methods, including credit cards, bank transfers, or other approved payment options.

Package Packaging and Labeling

  1. Packages should be adequately packed and protected to withstand normal handling during transit.
  2. Each package should be clearly labeled with the sender's and recipient's names, addresses, and contact details.
  3. Proper labeling should include the provided tracking number and any other relevant identifiers on all packages being shipped.

Delivery and Transit Times

  1. Transit times provided are estimates and not guaranteed. Factors such as weather conditions, customs clearance, and unforeseen delays may impact delivery times.
  2. Oceanic Kenya Shipping will make reasonable efforts to ensure timely delivery but is not liable for any direct or indirect losses or damages arising from delays.

Customs Clearance and Duty

  1. Customs clearance is the responsibility of the importer/recipient. However, Oceanic Kenya Shipping can provide assistance and guidance in completing customs documentation.
  2. Import duties, taxes, and any other customs charges are the responsibility of the importer/recipient and are not included in the shipping costs.

Insurance

  1. Insurance coverage is available for shipments and is recommended for valuable or fragile items. The cost of insurance is based on the declared value of the shipment.
  2. Claims for lost or damaged shipments must be reported within the stipulated timeframe, supported by appropriate documentation.

Prohibited and Restricted Items

  1. The shipper is responsible for ensuring that no prohibited or restricted items are included in the shipment. This includes hazardous materials, weapons, illegal drugs, and counterfeit goods, among others.
  2. Oceanic Kenya Shipping reserves the right to inspect and refuse any shipment that violates applicable laws, regulations, or our internal policies.

Liability

  1. Oceanic Kenya Shipping's liability for loss or damage to shipments is limited to the lesser of the actual value of the shipment or the insurance coverage obtained.
  2. We are not liable for any consequential or indirect damages arising from the use of our shipping services.

Amendments

  1. Oceanic Kenya Shipping reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting on our website.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kenya.
